Content you've already written that could be boosting your social media content strategy

Social media caption content that you didn’t know you had!

You have more than likely got some hidden content you have already created that you didn’t know about. Even better, this content is most likely going to be evergreen, so you can quickly create it now, and repost it every so often so that your content works harder for you in the long run.

WEBSITE.

About section

The about section of your website. This makes a great trust-building social post. Copy what you have written, and see what needs tweaking.

Can you add a relatable story?

Can you add any more behind-the-scenes details that will help your audience identify with you and your experiences?

Mission statement or brand values

We all like to connect with the brands we buy from, and your audience is no different. Take your mission statement or brand values, and see how that could work as a post.

You might need to add a hook, and give the post some context. But communicating what your brand stands for is a brilliant way to put your cards on the table, and attract your ideal clients.

Testimonials

We collect them in our inbox and add them to our websites, but you can reuse them on your social posts. You don’t have to just copy and paste, you can share what the project was, dive deeper into the project goals, as well as share the kind words you’ve received.

If you created graphics for your website for your testimonials, you might even be able to repurpose those images on your social channels.

Case studies

You’ve deep-dived into a case study of a client. Spent time crafting how you display the results, and this can be the perfect place to mine nuggets for your social channels. Think about how you can create a compelling caption that uses lots of the writing you have already done. This kind of detailed work, suits LinkedIn particularly.

Services

How long did it take you to write about what services you offer in a compelling way, that makes the reader want to click buy? Odds are, you worked on getting this part right!

Use that copy and create some stand-alone posts that share more about what you offer. Remember though, to frame it as what problems you solve, and not what you do. You’ll likely find that this bit of repurposing gets the most creative overhaul, but it is still a good place to start for inspiration about how you help people.

EMAIL CAMPAIGNS.

Welcome email

Did you write your welcome email when you started your email marketing campaign?

How long ago?

Take another look.

Firstly, you might like to change it up!! But you’ll also likely be able to create some content from it. Could it be used to create a reel that you add a voiceover to, introducing yourself to your Instagram audience? Repurposing doesn’t always have to be in copy form.

Emails in your sequences

Lastly, your email sequence. Perhaps you have 4 or 5 tailored emails in your sequence that could become new stand-alone evergreen content? You will probably find it needs less editing that the above options, and gives you the greatest return on the time you spend doing it.

If you’re worried that your audience might see it twice… there is a slim chance some of your audience might. But most won't.

Also, people digest information in different ways. They may hear what you say in an email one way, and take something else from the same content presented in a carousel.

Which hidden gem and you going to repurpose first from your website and email sequences?
